January Calendar Run Challenge
Dec Murphy For each day in January, Dec ran the same number of kilometers as its day number. So, he began with running just one kilometer on the first day and thirty-one kilometers on the last day. During this epic challenge that got progressively more challenging each day, he ran 496 kilometers (308.2 miles) during the month of January.
Also, on his last full week of this challenge he ran 161 kilometers, which is equivalent to 100 miles in a week. He therefore joined the 100 miles in a week club.
Let's not forget the weather in January either! We had snow and soon after plenty of ice. We even had a couple of storms too! However, Dec remained focused and got the job done.
On Saturday 1st February, Dec rested. However the following day on Sunday 2nd February, he ran another 10 miles or so, which enabled him to complete a back-to-back 100+ mile week and therefore he has now entered the 100 mile in a week club for the second time!
Congratulations Dec!
