Respect Parkrun rules
Everyone who wishes to participate will be assigned a BASE TIME, which will be their fastest parkrun time from the previous year.
This is the time that all your future Parkrun Championship performances will be compared against this coming
year. You are competing against the time YOU set yourself.
Times set by RS runners in 2023 were chosen to be used as the 2024 base time.
Your base time will be compared against their Championship event time. The better YOU perform relative to YOUR base time, the higher up the event table you
finish.
The higher up the table, the higher your point score. The best performer on the day will
receive 30 points. The next best performance will earn 29 points … and so on.
There are 12 Championship events in 2025 (one per calendar month). RS members are required to enter a minimum of 6 of these events to be eligible for the trophy (best 6 scores count).
If anyone runs at more than 7 Parkrun Championship events in a calendar year, they will receive a bonus point per additional event.
If you choose to volunteer at one of the parkruns—whether due to injury or simply wanting to help out—you will earn 10 points.
Please note, this will only apply to the selected parkrun location, as we have no way of tracking volunteering at other events.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out using the form below.
